About the work

In this painting I delved into some childhood drawings I did of rockets flying to the moon. I traced the lines exactly as I made them back in 1969 and felt the curious happiness of sitting at the table in the comfort of  my mom while an explosion of the need to paint grabbed me as I happened to listen to Nick Cave so I used  a songline as the title of this work.

Sun and stars and earth and moon and comets and stars with their tails blazing, all are there for ever falling, falling lovely and amazing.
